Boney Kapoor finalises Mr India 2 shoot to coincide with his daughter's birthday

Boney Kapoor's daughter Khushi turned nine on Thursday and his film Wanted completed a 50-day run. The day the producer decided to finalise the shooting schedule for Mr India 2. The film stars his wife Sridevi, Anil Kapoor and Salman Khan.



Mr India 2 goes on the floors early next year. "We've already locked in the script. In two weeks, we'll finalise the director," points out Boney. "Last year, I even had Anurag Basu's cheque ready to direct Mr India 2." But Basu preferred to direct Kites for Rakesh Roshan. "This time I'm not taking any chances," says Boney.

He adds, "Sri's fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief. There has been a great deal of speculation about her return and now it is finally on. Mr India 2 will also have a younger pair."

Boney's Wanted star Salman Khan is a fan of Mr India and Sridevi. When he heard about the sequel to Shekhar Kapoor's 1987 trendsetter, he insisted on being a part of it. And Boney can't refuse his blue-eyed hero anything.

One wonders, though how Boney plans to balance his brother Anil Kapoor's ego with Salman's when they start shooting.

"Sridevi will definitely be part of Mr India 2, how can she not? And my brother Anil Kapoor whom I last worked with in No Entry is back. And yes, Salman is also in Mr India."

Not without Sallu

Laughs Boney, "I don't think I can make a film without Salman. He is in Mr India 2 and also in the sequels to No Entry and Wanted. I'm his new Sooraj Barjatya."

Sridevi's last film before marriage and retirement (Judaai in 1997) was also opposite her brother-in-law Anil Kapoor. Salman had romanced Sridevi in two films Chand Ka Tukda and Chandramukhi.

Salman Khan to act as Mogambo in Mr. India 2

Salman Khan is all set to recreate the modern day avatar of Mogambo in the movie Mr. India 2. Boney Kapoor also confirmed that Salman Khan will be a part of the movie and wil be playing a negative role in the sequel.

SUPER STAR Salman Khan is all set to recreate the modern day avatar of Mogambo in the movie Mr. India 2.

The film will be produced by Boney Kapoor and directed by Anees Bazmi. The film will also mark the comeback of Sridevi.

Boney Kapoor also confirmed that Salman Khan will be a part of the movie and wil be playing a negative role in the sequel. He said that Salman Khan will paly the role of Mogambo, which was earlier played by Amrish Puri in Mr. India. People still remeber its favourite dialogue, Mogambo Khush hua.

Salman had expressed his desire to be a part of the sequel and Boney Kapoor had assured him that he would surely plan out a role for him in the movie. Anees was asked by Boney to work out some interesting role for Sallu Bhai during the scripting of he movie.

The film is scheduled to go on floors in February - March. Salman Khan will have a complte different look in the film for which the test will be done early next year.
Salman Khan has loved the loved the idea of playing a villlian's role and is quite open minded about it.

Salman Khan will be playing the role of a terrorist, who wants to rule over the whole of India. The story will be aall about how Anil Kapoor, Sridevi and their gang try to free the country with the help of an another invention made by Anil Kapoor.

Salman Mogambo Khush Hua with Rs 100 crore, 3 D, Mr India 2!! [22 Apr 2010]

Salman Khan, the macho super star of bollywood who never played the part of a villain in his acting career, is all set to step into the shoes of Amrish Puri with his famous tagline ‘Mogambo Khush Hua’ in upcoming Rs 100 crore sequel to blockbuster ‘Mr. India’ being made by Boney Kapoor.

Salman Khan is expected to recreate the magic of Mogambo with use of finest SFX artists from Hollywood and enacting his role in 3 D format. Taking his inspiration from James Cameron’s blockbuster ‘Avatar’, which was in 3D, Boney Kapoor wants to make this flick even greater hit at the box office than his earlier ‘Wanted’ was at the box office.

Besides Salman Khan, the film will also have Anil Kapoor and Sridevi continuing with their seductive part in the sequel. The film will also have a known pair of bollywood actors to add glamour for youngsters and gen X, who were not privy to original ‘Mr. India’. Presently, the script is being finalized by two writers and one of these two will be chosen by producer Boney Kapoor.

It is only after that will go for a director to helm the ambitious project. It is unlikely that Shekhar Kapur, who had directed the first part, will agree to this project and most probably someone else will have to be selected by Boney to do the job.

Sources close to producer Boney Kapoor say that the budget of the film has been kept at Rs 100 crore as the film will be techno savvy and will also use state- of- the- art technology.

Even make up artists are likely to come from Hollywood to create a special character of Salman Khan, as envisaged in the film.
