Salman and Shah Rukh take their rivalry to the ramp at the upcoming Couture week. While SRK will walk for Karan Johar, Salman counters the move by roping in Aamir Khan

The Khans, when not on good terms, can take their rivalry to new levels. There has been a history of Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan trying to outdo each other and they have fine-tuned it to an art. When Mumbai Mirror reported that Shah Rukh and Gauri will walk the ramp for Karan Johar, Salman’s immediate reaction was to launch into a contest of one-upmanship. Not content with just using Katrina Kaif as a counter-attack for Gauri, he has convinced Aamir Khan to walk the ramp for his charity, Being Human.

Shah Rukh and Salman are both keen that their show is the grand finale for the Couture Week, which will be held from October 11-16. The final decision is yet to be taken and it will be a tough choice. It will be a rare treat though, to watch Aamir on the ramp. A source confirms the story, “Aamir Khan doesn’t usually walk the ramp. As Salman has personally requested him, he has agreed to do so. Also, since it is for a good cause and charity.”

There is a greater cause than charity though: now it’s two Khans versus one. The war has intensified. Shah Rukh, increasingly isolated, is now pitted against two formidable adversaries: Aamir, a shrewd strategist, and Salman, who will never make it as a diplomat to any country.

Though Salman and Aamir are great pals now, they hadn’t shared a good rapport during the shoot of Andaaz Apna Apna. Salman had taken the surprising initiative to make-up with Aamir when he gifted the latter two paintings of Ghajini a few days before the release of the film. This broke the ice, which was good news for the two stars, but not-so-good news for Shah Rukh.

In the glam world, where showstoppers make all the difference, will Shah Rukh walk away with the glory? Or will Salman triumph with his trump card, Aamir? After all, wanting to come out on top is only being human, isn’t it?

Khan clan impressed by MAMK director signs him for their next

Prem Soni's directorial debut Main Aurr Mrs Khanna is yet to release but it looks that the director has impressed the Khan clan enough to trust the debutant director with another project.

Sohail Khan is the producer of Soni's first film, and after seeing the first cut of MAMK, Atul Agnihotri (brother-in-law of the Khan brothers) has signed him for his next home production.

The film is titled Paris and Soni had penned it long before Main Aurr Mrs Khanna went on the floors. Says a source, "Atul was impressed after seeing the rush print of the film. He sees potential in Soni and met him the following day. They discussed the possibility of a film together and that's when the director suggested Paris to him."

The film will be made under Atul's banner Reel Life Productions and will star Salman Khan in the main lead. The hunt is on for the leading lady opposite Khan. The film will go on the floors by year-end. Atul says, "Its too early to talk about this project. I am in talks with Prem."

Past association
Incidentally, the same film Paris was meant to be the launching pad of another new producer. The film was attached to be produced by Tanya Kumar — Kishen Kumar's wife. Tanya even established her banner Temple Flower under which the film was going to be made, however it never took off.

Akshay Kumar is making it more than clear that his loyalties are not with Shah Rukh Khan.

Akshay has for long been a challenge for the Khans, but now the dynamics are changing. It's now a straight competition between Akshay and Shah Rukh. So the bonhomie is missing and Akshay prefers the word 'co-star' for his once good friend.

Sources say Shah Rukh tried to calm the waters by going for a friendly visit to Akshay's film set. But that didn't seem to work.

"It was just about two co-stars meeting. What's so big about it? It's nothing," said Akshay.

Shah Rukh's sworn enemies may have praised him in public, but Akshay has refused to bite the bait. According to him, the most handsome star in the industry was Salman Khan and nobody matched up to him.


"Shah Rukh has a character on his face, " but I would consider Salman a very good-looking guy," said Akshay.

So was Akshay trying to get back at people who he thought had an agenda against him? The actor has already gone on record and accused people in the industry of plotting against his films ahead of their release.

Again, during the promotion of his film Singh is Kingg, Akshay did not mince words while talking about his colleagues. "All this talk that so and so is the king of Bollywood is nonsense. Anyone can be king, whether it's a Khan, Khanna or Kumar," Akshay said.

Clearly, the big fight in Bollywood is far from over.

Flashing his popularity and excellent rapport with colleagues, Sallu has got industry A-listers to walk the ramp for his ‘Being Human’ show at the forthcoming India Couture Week in Mumbai.

And if Aamir with his eight-pack abs and eternal lover boy looks was not enough a reason for you to watch this show, Salman has now got pals Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Sanjay Dutt and Sunny Deol to walk the ramp for him.

Well, as far as bagging more friends for a just cause goes, Sallu has emerged a clear winner. As of now, Shah Rukh and his dainty wife Gauri are the sole stars that will be walking the ramp for KJo. And as much as would love to watch King Khan do the cat walk, Salman with his army of stars offers a bigger and better attraction.

So how did Sallu manage to win so many actors no his side? Well, with a strategist like Aamir, it was a piece of cake for Salman. As according to our sources, it was Aamir who nudged Salman into getting more celebs.

Confirming the news, a daily quoted a source as saying, “Aamir has helped Salman get several A-listers. The most surprising bit is that the usually reclusive Sunny Deol has also agreed to be part of Salman’s fashion show. He is known to be a very shy person.”

First, it was only about Salman Khan and Aamir Khan joining hands to walk the ramp at the couture week for the former’s Being Human brand, and giving stiff competition to common arch rival Shah Rukh Khan who will walk the ramp for Karan Johar, who is launching his own clothesline. Now, Aamir has taken his and Salman’s rivalry with Shah Rukh a step further by personally making sure that some of the hunkiest Bollywood actors walk the ramp for Salman.

I think that would have to be Salman Khan! He hates me saying that... in fact he hates all young girls saying that they had a crush on him since school, although I’m hoping he secretly likes hearing it!! I went to a very posh all girls school in London where there was only a handful of Indian girls. All the English girls used to have pictures of Western popstars but I had a photo of Salman in my desk. I used to refuse to go to school without seeing one of his songs. I was a kid and didn’t even know what a crush was, but clearly Salman was my first crush!

Salman trains the trainer!

After taking care of Salman Khan’s fitness for over a decade, the actor’s personal trainer Abbas Aly is now bitten by the acting bug.

He wants to be a fulltime actor and we hear that Salman is going out of his way to help his trainer get the best Bollywood projects.

According to sources, it is because of Salman’s clout that Abbas has successfully bagged some big banner films. Abbas confirms and says, “Although I’ve done a few cameo roles, Salman bhai is encouraging me to become a fullfledged actor. I’m grateful to him and now, with his blessings, I’m part of Race 2 and also an international project.”

Abbas, who has trained many celebrities including Anil Kapoor and Bipasha Basu, is now “trying to live up to the expectations of mentor Salman,” he says.

Ahmedabad’s Parsoli Motors gifts Salman Khan a BMW X6 car

Ahmedabad based BMW car dealer Parsoli Motors today gifted Rs 79 lakh BMW X6 Activity Coupe(Xdrive30d) car to bollywood film star Salman Khan.

Salman accompanied by his younger brother Sohail Khan and bodyguard Shera received the keys of the car at BMW showroom on SG highway in Ahmedabad.

Due to chaotic crowd, media persons could not interact with Salman Khan.

While receiving the keys, Salman in his address said “I have been gifting the things to others, but it feels nice that now I am receiving the gifts from others. I like X6 very much and this gift has been a surprise for me. My papa and Mr. Sareshwala are friends and they go on morning walk together in Mumbai.”

About uncontrollable crowd in a small portion of show-room, Salman said, “Nowadays it happens that you people keep me away from you.”

Zafar Sareshwala of Parsoli Motors said, “We are gifting this car to Salman for being a nice human.”

Salman was to give a ride to underprivileged children in his new car, but due to chaotic crowd, this event was canceled. Salman was scheduled to take lunch at Parsoli Motors but he could not and the lunch items were sent back. Salman left the showroom before time due to chaos. Parsoli motors was to hand over keys of new BMW cars to five customers through Salman but this also could not happen.

Salman had brought an abstract painting painted by him from Mumbai with him. This painting was auctioned and one of the BMW customer brought it at a cost of Rs. 10,000. This sum will go to charity according to Talha Sareshwala, owner of Parsoli Motors.

Salman’s BMW X6 Activity Coupe will be delivered to Mumbai in a trailer truck from Ahmedabad soon.

Box-office was holding cold breath on Monday with mere 1.6 Crore for WUS And 1.75 Crore for Do Knot Disturb. Next week will be deciding factor for both movies and if fail to hold their own, will prove to be last breath.

On the other hand :sHa_thumb2:. Wanted has fair chance to sustain strongly at single screens even on Diwali holidays as all Diwali releases are multiplex fairs, except All The Best to some extent

Here's what filmmakers and industry insiders think about their move

Things just can't get better or bigger than this. First, we heard about Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan coming together for Danny Boyle's next production. Then when we saw SRK drop by on Akshay Kumar's film sets and visit his house, the industry was abuzz with stories of the two stars co-producing and acting in a film together. Taking it all a step further, apparently Salman Khan and Aamir have now decided to come together for a project too!

Apparently, the Andaz Apna Apna co-stars didn't share a very good rapport during the making of the Raj Kumar Santoshi film years back. Things however changed after Salman fought with his close friend Shah Rukh on Katrina's 24th birthday party.

If Aamir's blogs, his media statements, Salman's interviews and the industry rumour mills are to be believed, Aamir and Salman are now fast friends. And it's not just the SRK factor that keeps them together.

Apparently Salman spends hours at Aamir's house and the two discuss art and films. Salman who opted to have Aamir walk the ramp for his Being Human fashion show at the upcoming Couture Week to counter SRK who will be walking for KJo's collection launch during the same fashion event, has reportedly also decided to work with his Andaz Apna Apna co-star.

According to industry buzz and media reports, the project is to be co-produced by Aamir Khan Productions and Salman's brother Sohail Khan's production house. This is to ensure that both the actors had equally justified roles. The director and other cast of the film are yet to be finalised.

When contacted, Aamir's official spokesperson denied any such tie up. He said, "There is nothing in the offing right now. His hands are full with 3 Idiots and three films, which are under production. He is not planning any other film right now."

Salman's business manager, Vikas Kapoor, too refused any such tie up.

However, we decided to see how the industry feels about any such tie up between the few top actors. We asked who they would prefer to see together on screen - Aamir-Sallu or SRK-Akki. And this is what they had to say...

Anees Bazmee, filmmaker: I vote both the pairs. Both the films will not need any publicity. People will anxiously wait for these films and both will become super hits.

Madhur Bhandharkar, filmmaker: Both.

Manoj Desai, Manager, G-7 multiplex, Mumbai: I will vote for Aamir-Salman because it guarantees a 100 per cent success. Aamir is sincere and excellent in marketing and Salman after the recent success of Wanted is very hot with the audience.

Girish Wankhede, Deputy General Manager of Cinemax: I will go for the Aamir-Salman combination. I don't think SRK and Akshay can ever do a Andaz Apna Apna. They are the bigger stars than SRK and Akshay.

Amod Mehra, Senior Trade anaylist: Of course, Aamir-Salman combination because Aamir's film is always different. And now, after Wanted, what can I say about Salman!

Tanuja Chandra, filmmaker: Aamir-Salman's combination because they always look opposite. They have good chemistry and look genuinely funny in comedy. On the whole, I find them very cute.

The urge to be a star-maker has now hit Salman big-time. He realises he doesn't need a weighty leading lady to shoulder a film. Most of his forthcoming films, including the ones on the floors, have new leading ladies instead of established actresses.



Fresh cast
Boney Kapoor's sequel of Wanted - Most Wanted - is just one of the few. Prabhudeva will direct again. The film will have two fresh faces as leading ladies. Even his next film with Sajid Nadiadwala titled Sanki will have a newbie.

According to Boney, "Once you have Salman on board, it doesn't matter who comes on afterwards."
Strangely most of Salman's films with established heroines like Salaam-E-Ishq and God Tussi Great Ho (both with Priyanka Chopra), Jann-E-Man, Heroes (with Preity Zinta), Kareena Kapoor (Kyun Ki) and Katrina Kaif (Hello, Yuvraaj) have flopped, whereas films with new or less mainstream heroines like Tera Naam (Bhumika Chawla), Lucky (Sneha Ullal) and Wanted (Ayesha Takia) have clicked.

Rewriting history
Salman's blossoming coterie of faithful producers are designing films that require new leading ladies. Brother Arbaaz Khan's Dabangg features Sonakshi Sinha opposite the bada bhai, who plays a dirty, rugged cop. Salman has apparently asked Sajid Nadiadwala to create a role that would be very different from anything that he has done before.

SN confirms, "Salman and I are doing another film together. We've done it all from Judwa to Jaan-e-Mann. Now we want to do something that will bring out another facet of Salman's personality, and take him to a new level. And yes, the girl will be a newcomer. After tasting success with the formulistic Wanted, Salman Khan is on the look-out for scripts that would excite and challenge him as an actor."

Tantrik sex victim contacts Salman

The 22-year-old victim of the infamous Mira Road incest-and-rape case has reached out to actor Salman Khan to help her out of the mess she's in.

The girl, who had her father Kishore Chauhan and his tantrik friend Hasmukh Rathod put behind bars after accusing them of raping her, has been under pressure to drop the case against the two. As a result, the girl sent a distress message to an IPS officer on Friday, which she says has gone unanswered so far.

The message informed the officer that she was being asked to marry the Tantrik's son in exchange of withdrawing the case. Finally, on Saturday, the girl approached Khan, by writing him a letter in Hindi.

Speaking to DNA, she said "I have requested him (Khan) to help me financially so that I can rent a house where I can stay alone. I am unable to tolerate my mother and other family members as they are pressurising me to withdraw the case. I hope Salman Khan will help me in getting a house. I am doing some business, but the earnings aren't enough. I would be deeply obliged to anyone who could help me arrange the rent money. I don't want publicity or any other kind of help other than this," she said.

She added she didn't want to complain about the harassment her mother was putting her through because then "she will have to go back to jail."

Kadar Khan's son Sarfaraz says he owes his career to Salman Khan

Sarfaraz Khan, son of yesteryear actor Kadar Khan was last seen as Aslam in Salman Khan starrer Wanted. The actor says he went against his father's wishes to become an actor. Starting off with Kya Yahi Pyaar Hai in 2002, the actor got noticed by Salman in Maine Dil Tujhko Diya. Khan picked him for Tere Naam ('03).

Later he was seen in a negative role with Arbaaz and Sohail in Kisaan. He says he owes his career to Salman, and has been in most of the actor's films. When did your friendship with Salman start?

He saw me in Maine Dil Tujhko Diya and liked my work. He asked me to act in Tere Naam. Salman bhai acts on his instinct and is totally genuine. I think the more time I spent with him, I got to know him better. We have an equation where even if we don't say a word we know what's going on in each other's minds. He's like an elder brother to me and I owe a lot to him. He's often misunderstood, but deep down he's just a normal guy. Working with him in Wanted was something I will never forget. Then I also got a chance to be with him in a special episode of CID. He looks after me, and whenever he thinks there's a chance for me to do some role, he calls me.

Do you go to Salman for personal and
professional advice?

Yes, there are times when I am in doubt or am not sure, I just pick up the phone call him and speak my heart out. There has never been a time when he's told me he's busy or can't attend to my grievances. He has always encouraged me to explore different roles and do more films.

Man turns on feminine charms - for Salman Khan!

Lucknow, Oct 14 (IANS) Azad Ansari is a fan of Bollywood star Salman Khan. But not just another fan - he dresses up like a woman in salwaar kameez, earrings and the works, and firmly believes that he is the superstar's 'girlfriend'.

Ansari, a resident of Padao town in the Chandauli district of Uttar Pradesh, some 300 km from Lucknow, has been living like a 'girlfriend' of Salman Khan for the last 12 years and dreams of getting married to the Bollywood actor.


Ansari now wears salwaar kameez with a dupatta over his head, dons earrings, colourful bangles, a nose ring and applies lipstick and eye-liner to show his 'commitment' towards the star.


'I am in deep love with Salman. He is my life...For him (Salman) only, I changed myself completely. I can do anything for him,' Ansari, 38, told IANS over phone.


'I don't wish to have anything from Allah...I only want the almighty to bless me so that I can marry Salman and start a new life,' he added.


Ansari left his parents and his wife to live his life as Salman Khan's 'girlfriend'.


'They (parents and wife) had problems with me and my relationship with Salman. I tried to pacify them, but when I realised they would not let me fulfil my aspiration of marrying Salman, I had no option but to leave them,' Ansari said.


For the last eight years, Ansari has been living alone in Padao town of Chandauli district.


What Ansari claims to be 'love' started as a crush on the actor.


'It all started when I along with some of my friends watched Salman's movie 'Maine Pyar Kiya' in one of the talkies. Gradually, after seeing some more movies of the actor, I realised that I had some special feelings for Salman,' Ansari said.


'When I told my friends about my feelings, they laughed at me and asked me to forget Salman as I would not be able to meet him in this life. Unaware of the deep affection I had in my heart for Salman, my friends treated me as a laughing-stock. But that has not made me change and what was affection subsequently transformed into love.'


Ansari is even ready to opt for a sex change, provided Salman promises to marry him.


'If I can live like his girlfriend, I will have no hesitation in going in for a surgery to change my sex. The moment Salman assures me of marriage, I will opt for the surgery.'


Ansari, who makes his livelihood from the rent he gets from his parents' house, claims that he has written over 1,000 letters to Salman and the actor responded to one of them with 'I love you jaan'.


'I poured my heart into all the letters. I tried to explain to Salman about the love I have for him... Sallu replied once and wrote 'I love you jaan' in his letter,' said Ansari, who has become a topic of discussion in the entire town.


Residents of the town say they were taken by surprise when they came to know about Ansari's eccentric behaviour.


'Initially, we were taken aback when we heard that Ansari decks up like a woman for Salman. I remember, first time I saw Ansari in woman's attire in the marketplace it was unbelievable for me,' Mitlesh Dubey, who runs a grocery store in the village, told IANS.


Kalim Ahmad, who has a tailoring shop in the town, said: 'Initially, we thought Ansari was joking, but when we realised the fact we were quite surprised.'
